Deci daca sotul nu indeplineste conditiile financiare, atunci pe langa affidavitul pe care-l completeaza el (sotul) trebuie sa adauge affidavituri (I-864) de la co-sponsori (1,2,3). De mentionat ca acei co-sponsori daca au familie, numarul membrilor de familie diminueaza puterea de sponsorizare a co-sponsorului respectiv. Actele doveditoare pentru venitul mentionat in affidavit trebuie sa vina de la toti co-sponsorii, deci si de la sot si de la prietenul sotului; actele trebuie sa sustzina cifrele mentionate in affidavit.
"In order to qualify based on the value of your assets, the totalvalue of your assets must equal at least five times thedifference between your total household income and thecurrent poverty guidelines for your household size. However,if you are a U.S. citizen and you are sponsoring your spouseor minor child, the total value of your assets must only beequal to at least three times the difference. If the intendingimmigrant is an alien orphan who will be adopted in theUnited States after the alien orphan acquires permanentresidence, and who will, as a result, acquire citizenship undersection 320 of the Act, the total value of your assets need onlyequal the difference.

Inthis case, you would meet the income requirements if the netvalue of the assets equaled at least $20,000."Daca sponsorii garanteaza cu venitul salarial de regula trebuiesc: (toate in copie, dar originalele trebuiesc sa fie disponibile pentru eventuala verificare) de pe paycheckuri pe ultimile 3-6 luni, tax-return pe ultimii 3 ani scrisoare pe foaie cu antet de la angajator care sa afirme statutul job-ului (full time permanent), durata de cand e angajat, si salariul anual. Daca se mai adauga si alte surse de venit, trebuiesc acte doveditoare ale acestora (extrase de cont de la banca etc.)
